Well, I didn’t quite finish the Pinks and Reds top by the weekend, but it was all in one piece by Sunday evening, then I added a border of yellow squares yesterday afternoon. Coincidentally, I discovered, the second Monday of the month is 25% off day at my LQS, so I picked up some yardage of the Joel Dewberry Heirloom print, Opal, in gold for the back. It’s a less saturated yellow than the top, but I pieced in some strips of extra HSTs (I’m not the best at calculating), which I think will make it work together well. There are some tiny bits of the Blockprint Blossom print incorporated into the top, so Heirloom all around I suppose.
I also finished my new ironing board cover, which is not much to look at, but it works! And you know what that means: It’s time for bats! I know I know, I just finished a top and a back, shouldn’t I be basting? But I would have to move all the furniture… so… soon!
